Hey guys, just moved to Sydney a few months ago from overseas for a job, and I'm eyeing a decent used car because public transport here is killing me on weekends when I want to explore the beaches or head out of the city. Thing is, I don't have much of a credit history built up yet in Australia, and I'm still on a temporary work visa. What stuff do lenders actually look at when deciding on car loan approvals for new arrivals like me? Does the type of visa make a big difference, or is it more about how stable your job and pay look?
